Nice ideal with the plates, and the exhaust routeing sounds great. As always you have things planned out way ahead of time, nice job....Jim

Eric the weather is beyond awesome high of 72 sunny and not a cloud in the sky. I went to lunch today with the sunroof open a/c off truly enjoying why I love living in south florida even though the car show scene is lame compared to texas and california. there are a bunch of awesome rides downhere but people do not get together as they do in other states..

If I ever get my truck done and I go to a show that you're at. I need to park by the tuner cars so I don't look so lame! I think I can speak for most everyone that wha you're building is what most of us would love to build! Truly amazing!

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

You guys don't give yourself enough credit. I have built a few of these trucks to get to this one. I would not have built this truck to this level but once I started I just felt like it needed to be done this way. There have been and will be a ton of people that have helped on this build to get her finished. I am glad you guys like the build. I finished the lines last night to the trans cooler and the plates are welded in on the left side. I have the right side cut and they will be welded in today after I get off work.

Eric looks awesome as usual. One question on your shear plates it looks like you did a full perimeter weld. You also have your holes with the flange up. Are you worried about water resting in this area or did I miss something?

Again over the top man. Looks awesome,"off the chain".

No because this truck will never see water. I see your point and you are 100% right but with all the polish and nickle plating I will have on this truck I will avoid water like the plague.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

Do you have some body drop built in too? .. or is the frame just built so low it's no longer even necessary ?

Looking at it as compared to a stock frame I can't really tell the proportion, ex. where the cab mounts would be vs. the bed mounts. The engineering and (assuming Auto CAD) knowledge .. not even thinking about the welding skill, just the design and how all the pieces fit together blows me away. Wow.

no nosy drop. Ithis 67 is a big window which as you know is rare. Plus pair was done so I don't want to cut the cab. Plus with the size of the wheels and the rear tires body drop ment I would have to cut up the bed too

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

Makes sense .. Is it Hugger orange or HOK of some sort ? Tangelo ? any metallic at all in the base / clear ?

I had a hugger 69 Camaro for 17yrs and sold it in attempt to save a failing marriage. I loved that car. Original Cali car, all GM metal, and as clean as they come. White stripes, black int. 350 car.

Eric just keeps raising the bar for C-10's! I'm going to start building bicycles or something But... in all seriousness, killer work as usual & the frame gets more incredible with every update.
