Cleaning Supply Deals...

Okay guys, lets see where we can start saving money. If you run across a deal at your local parts store or even online for detailing supplies, post it here.

I'll go first:

Location: Advance Auto Parts (AAP)
Item(s): Sponges (washing), Microfiber towels, Cleaning Supplies

Apparently AAP is in the process of cleaning out their old stock and have been marking down a ton of cleaning supplies. Sponges, microfiber towels, bug-b-gone,... you name it. Stop by your local AAP and it's usually in the front bin as soon as you walk in the door.

The sponges came to $0.25ea, the Bug B Gone was like $2-3, and the Microfiber towels were $1-2. I also picked up a microfiber sponge that was marked down to $0.95; later that afternoon we stopped at K-Mart and they had the exact same one for $4.95.

So what good deals have you found lately?

Re: Cleaning Supply Deals...

I picked up the ArmorAll kit. I'll probably snag the Meguiars soon though. I typically stop by and buy more supplies as I go so that I have them for show detailing once I get my '63 finished. They also have good deals on the California Large Water Blades, Jelly Blades, and Car Dusters. I live on a dirt road so the Duster is useful. My Wallyworld loaded up on detailing gift packs at Christmas and they still have boxes of this stuff on racks in the auto dept. I've never messed with the clay though, just the newer high-grade waxes.

Re: Cleaning Supply Deals...

Yeah the California Duster. Wallyworld is pretty well stocked in the detailing department. All the way down to Mothers Powerballs and Febreeze Auto Spray.

Nope still haven't seen the Flitz. I used to work at a music store and we sold Flitz to polish trumpets and drum hardware. I would just buy like 6 tubes as I needed them s I was loaded. Too bad I'm now unemployed.

Re: Cleaning Supply Deals...

hey guys my turn.

I own a very busy mobile detail company. I have found that at Sams Club I get a 25 pack of micro towels for $11. This is a very good deal.

Also purple stuff from walmart is a great cleaner. I use the one gallon jugs and dillute them to 3 gallons and it works great on tires, wheel wells door jambs and stuff like that.

I will post more as I come accross it.

Re: Cleaning Supply Deals...

jmedero... thanks for the info. I can't believe I failed to post teh micro towels at Sam's. That's next on the list to pick up.

Also, if you like Armorall:

Walmart had a 3 pack of wipes (Original, Window, and another one) for $8.47, which didn't sound like a bad deal.

Re: Cleaning Supply Deals...

AAP has a 12 pack of Microfiber towels for $10. Last week they had a 2 for $8 special on the Black Magic products such as the Foaming Tire Spray, Liquid Wax, etc. This week you can get a "Buy 2, Receive 25% off" deal on about 8 different Meguiar's Gold Class products and "Buy Any 2, Save $5" on Turtle Wax ICE products.
