Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Thanks Guys. Your comments are appreciated! I put in the tranny crossmember and the frame linkage bracket. The arms are done and are waiting for the crossmember to be mounted. Its a job cleaning that thing.I put in an order for drop spindles and they are backordered 2 weeks. I bought some grade 8 bolts and still need some more. Good excuse to go to Lowes.

Looks great. You make it look awful easy. I haven't done a frame off yet so I'm keeping a close watch. Make it look easy for me!

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

i have been following your build for a while and have a question. what paint are you using on you frame? i see that is looks like red oxide primer you are using, are you sanding the red oxide before to coat? or are you just spraying it. thanks. looking good so far.

I am using rustoleum rusty metal primer. Its great to fill with and if you take your time and prep it good it lasts.I am wet sanding it then painting gloss black on it. It will dull down to a semi gloss or satin finish after a while which is what I want. Thanks for following and ask again if you have anymore questions.
