Need help with my speedometer not working

Ok so I can not figure it out I am hoping to find some help

I have tested the cable by taking off the cable at the transmission th400 hooked it up to a power tool stew driver and I see the speedo gauge move and hold speeds... Then found that my gear in the transmission was broken... So I replace that for about 15 dollars. Put it all back together and nothing...

Is there another gear inside the transmission that may be gone or did I hook it up wrong?

Thanks in advance for the help

There's the gear on the end of the speedo drive that I think is the one you replaced. was it on the end of the piece the cable screws to? Then there's another gear on the output shaft that drives it. you have to take the tail cover off to get to it. 4 bolts plus the rear mount and of course the drive shaft.

Thumbs up Re: Need help with my speedometer not working

Is the cable end rounded off that goes into the plastic gear at transmission? The cable has to be square so it fits tight into the plastic gear are the gear itself maybe rounded off if it was used.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
