Re: Rarest Option

Thanks for the clarification. I checked my list of RPO codes did not see a seat heater. Also no offense taken... it was funny. Frank

Re: Rarest Option

That undersea heater looks like a factory heater found under the driver's side seat on a '54-'56 Buick, or Pontiac.
I installed one in my '61 Suburban, but never finished running the lines from the intake.

They did make an auxiliary heater for Suburbans that was sold as an Accessory by Chevrolet and GMC.

My '51 Cadillac had a heater under the front seat to warm the back of the car.

That seat heater was found on every school bus I rode to school on in the mid 80s.

Re: Rarest Option

Newest acquisition. Was debating converting to Panoramic View but this slider has saved the original paint on the cab interior..lol

On my other 63. Guess that's what started me thinking on the white one.

I do have an auxiliary heater that was mounted in the ambulance that I had a while back with all of the valving to the hoses. It is stored away when I moved my shop. when I get to it I will take and post the pictures. it had been installed at production but by the outfit that built the ambulance body

Re: Rarest Option

I find the under seat heater very interesting as I have the exact same thing in my 1965 C10. It was installed by my dad many years ago and came from a 1954 Buick Special.
