Crap. Late to the party - now these are NLA. I can get one for Driver's side from my local dealership, but that's it. The guy at Lisle Honda (dealership that many of the online stores point to) wanted to know why he's had so many orders for these.

funny my dealer told me the same thing! I can't imagine that many people rushing out to get these. LOL

I was able to order one online for like $40 and the other through the parts counter at honda for $115 (picking it up today)

I will post up my results.

I ordered a set from Hondapartsales.com. $100 shipped to my door. My local dealers wanted $65-$70 per side.

Re: 64-66 door weatherstrip-EUREKA!!!!

Sorry, no pics right now, put them on yesterday. Fit like a glove and SOOOO easy to install. I can't believe they aren't available any more. Sounds like others are still getting from Hondapartscheap. Try them.

mainly, they have to be glued in, and it takes years to break them in to get the doors to shut all the way.

Re: 64-66 door weatherstrip-EUREKA!!!!

No glue sealed the deal for me (no pun intended)
Fit was perfect no trimming
One piece loop with no gap
Super soft so perfect seal and the door shuts and latches great.
Honda made 1.2 Million of these cars with about half being coupes over the 4 production years
Besides the coupes the same weather strip was used in a lot of their other cars and vans, just not the right length but if you don't mind splicing them there should be lots of used ones around
Last but not least you can install in 5 min's per side as apposed to the hours it take to put the glued ones on.

Re: 64-66 door weatherstrip-EUREKA!!!!

I got an email today telling me they are on backorder and it might take awhile to get them. This was also attached:

Okay. I will put these on order for you. May take a while as Honda is getting hit hard with orders for these parts. Funny how most if not all of the customers ordering this don’t even own a Honda. I will keep you posted.

Thank you.

makes you think that a lot more people lurk and read on this board than post....

....and maybe with a few refinements Honda could make some good money selling aftermarket truck parts!
don't these fit right into the 67-72 as well?

Re: 64-66 door weatherstrip-EUREKA!!!!

67-72 have a different lip that the seal attaches to. they are a push on like the Honda seals but wouldn't fit on my 61. might of made mods to the lip to make them fit? gave then to my nephew as he had a 72 berb.

I'm guessing these would be too short for a 60-63 door? Anyone find anything like this for 60-63's?

someone posted that they are a few inches short on the 60-63 trucks, but you can splice in a filler under the sill plate i would think

Keep an eye on wrecking yards and civics being parted out on craigslist. Just scored a set of seals for $30 at the local salvage yard.

Re: 64-66 door weatherstrip-EUREKA!!!!

SO late to this party, every Honda site said they had them when you searched, they let ya order, then the back order/refund happens. So today a little trip to three junkyards produced a great pair from a newly arrived 06, and a good set from an 07. The good ones were $25 each (bought 'em) and the other I whittled down to $40 ea, but they were pristine. One more idea was the Canadian or even a more far away market, but none of those inquiries has come back yet by email. But at least my 66 long bed step will have a set and my future project set is prepared as well. Thanks Mr Fisher!

Re: 64-66 door weatherstrip-EUREKA!!!!

FYI on you guys who might want to try to get a new pair of door seals. This is what I got back today from Canada's Torontohondaparts.com:
"Both 72315-SVA-A01ZA ($73.28) and 72355-SVA-A01ZA ($84.26) are available in Montreal. There is only one of each at that warehouse. Once stock is depleted, it will be backordered with an unknown arrival time."

Thanks,
Toronto Honda Parts Team
