Checkin in from Monroe -- Ya might see my white '69 work truck running around, and eventually the '69 Short Fleet with the 502!

Hey! Didn't I sell you some waggy springs a couple years ago? I almost never hang out on Snort anymore (I'm 64FJ40 there)... I'm still on NWW pretty regularly, but not because I ever have time to actually wheel.

See you around,
Eric

Also from Monroe. Seems to be the hotspot for 67-72's. I am just trying to get and keep my trucks running. I am planning on attending the Portland and Monroe swapmeets (shows for smaller/rustier items)

After mine was stolen, I drove around town passing out pictures with my phone number on them. I know of at least 8 others (and one guy that has a small horde) all within city limits.

Anyone know where I can find a 69-72 long-bed 4x4 driveline for a reasonable price near Olympia?

Thanks

From Seattle. I don't think I will be entering any shows this year but maybe a small local one next year.

Yeah I know... Been busy out at base. Since putting on the rank of Tech Sergeant I have longer days. Plus been doing some small trips to a couple other continents..

I read you rebuilt the motor again??
I thought you were in the market for a 2wd blazer.

How's 409's truck coming?? haven't seen any updated pics on here.

I know 409 is trying to get his together for the race season. I heard this week it will be opening for sure.

I seized a wrist pin in my motor. We tore it down and you could see that 2 of the cylinders were way to lean. So I started over. Bored it out 60 over, lowered my compression, put all new stuff back in, to risky with that much power. I also changed the cam and went with a blower cam and lifters and went to a single plain manifold. Since the compression is now lower we can up the boost to 16lbs. We are shooting for it to be between 800 to 850 horse at the motor and 650 to 700 at the wheels.

Bothell. I've only brought her to the XXX Root Beer all truck show the summer before last. I hope to hit a couple this summer too.

Re: how many from washington

No, but my best friend, co-pilot & co-mechanic is named Chris. You may have seen my truck at his place when we did the 3/4 ton conversion. I've had it for 4 years, it used to be hugger orange (wish it still was). I bought it from the infamous KOBERSTEIN.
