lol, without being blown away huh? Well personally I would try a knife or screwdriver if the lock is cheap enough. I know my stepdad lost the key to his Sporty and used a knife to start it. Or if you are skilled enough and have the equipment, pick the lock.

I have done it, but I ruined the tank.
So, what ever you do, DON'T get a huge pair of chanel lock pliers and just pry it ogg.
(this was when I first bought the GMC and wanted to get it home)_

If you have a good quality locking cap (like the all metal ones with the red warning label on the front) and you can't pick the lock, find someone who can. It will be cheaper to pay a lock smith than to tear up the fill hole and visit a bone yard to get a new part. I was able to pick the lock on my old one, but it was a cheap piece of cr@p plastic one. Good Luck!

By the way, no cigars while your working on it.

Hehe, I did exactly what longhornmail says not to do.. got a big pair of vice grips and pried it off. Worked great.
