That was in 1970. I still have the front bumper from the race car!

Luckily, everyone in that picture is still alive.

Great stance...what did you use to lower up front? 1" lowing spring?

Great looking truck...wondering how much and how the front end was lowed. I am adjusting the stance on mine. I put 2.5" drop spindles on the front and now only have 1" between the P275/75R15's and the top of the fender arch! I like the amout of space you have between the front tire and fender arch. Any info you are willing to provide is appreciated. Thanks!

Ok this is my new baby. 1970 ramp truck.44k and sports orig belts, hoses and 4 out of 6 orig tires. was built for Dick Harrell sold to Brooklyn heavy and various others along the way. Looks rusty but infact is very solid. Just going to blast and paint. Have never owned a true survivor like this one. Motor is untouched! T-3 head lights ect.

@ dragracinrs
If there is anything on there from Dick Harrell, make sure you leave it on there.
I would be honored to have a truck with Mr. Chevrolet´s name on it.

@ GMF238
Sure love the wheels and the engine dressup kit. Adds a little kick.
Keep up the good work. Looks great!

oh yeah, welcome to the board both of you.

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks

First post here, so I'll see if I can get this to work--here's my '72 3/4-ton 4x4. Daily driver, although I'll admit that I don't drive very far or fast! Came with all the good stuff--locking rear diff, automatic, and AC (although it needs a new compressor). The 400 is long gone, but it has a nice crate 350 w/Edelbrock in it now:

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks

Here's my baby. She's a 72 GMC I paid $200 for put about $1000 in to get her on the road. She runs good, a bit on the Ratty side but that's what i'm going for. Paint is rattle can but a million time better than b4. She's got an 250 I6 with a 3 speed that I converted to the floor because i misplaced my shift linkage and found promptly after buying a $100 dollar shifter and cutting a hole in the floor. I'm a broke college student so everything i've done so far has had to be as cheap as possible. My brother, cousin and I dropped it by flipping the axle and removing a leaf spring and cutting two coils out of the front. Now I have to get a C notch, but man she looks good. Its my pirate ship, people laugh when i say that but they understand if i let em behind the wheel. She gets some good attention too.

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks

New to board.

Just got my new Chevy from a dealer up in Georgia. One owner truck all original survivor! 350 and 3 speed Auto. Even came with original tires on original rims as extra's.

Original owner worked for GM and used it as a commuter.

I do have late model rally rims on it and will keep them for now. I need the bow tie cover emblem for one of them, Any pointers on where I can find that?

127,000 original miles on a great truck!
Always wanted one and I plan to keep it bone stock.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
