Re: Hardest to find part
I’m sure there are not too many floating around out there.

Re: Hardest to find part
I acquired a set [X-over and perches] for a 292-powered '72 K/5 (+ SM465/Rockwell T221) offroad Blazer project. But the legal issue of getting title to the K/5 tub is a roadblock. I have doors, hood, rollbar, radiator bulkhead, fenders and fenderskirts. No top, tailgate or grille.
Also the rearend gears were 3.07, not the 3.73 in my other trucks. I have never seen a Factory Blazer or Jimmy. All had a 250, 307, or 350. Not saying they don't exist, but I've never seen or heard of one in a K/5. Perhaps the hassle of getting this particular part forced sales guys in dealerships into discouraging buyers interested in the 292, or a 292 upgrade of a 250. IDK. Ford, on the other hand, put a lot of 300 L6s in Broncos. [The 300 came out 2 years later than the 292, and is obviously ''reverse-engineered'' from a GM L25.] If I had the facilities, I would duplicate the crossover configuration in paralleled 2'' round tubing with steel plates in between, and flattened tube ends to replicate the factory crossover, but it's not commercially viable for me. 'Going back to 292s' is not as strong a craze as LS mods.
