Coolant Anti Corrsion Inhibitors

After doing some reasearch I came accross 2 big names in the mass market. May turn this into a poll.

Which one is better?

Redline's Water Wetter

Royal Purple's Purple Ice

Lets hear it for the votes. And specifically why?

Keeping it fresh, found some stuff at NAPA and had used it before called NapaKool.

Appears to have a 2 percent Hydrochloric Acid in Solution with Nitrates and Nitrites.

So who can speak to block corrosion and prevention using these products.

I use the NAPA stuff on the fleet vehicles I maintain. I also use their coolant test strips to test, once a year.
Not sure what those others do, or what they are. The NAPA product is made for the common coolants that have been around for a long time.

I've used the water-wetter before several times.

I can't say if it made a difference or not. If I recall corectly, it is like $18 a bottle at my o'reillies or autozone.

Re: Coolant Anti Corrsion Inhibitors

some contents increase thermal transmission, other resist rust, others remove rust and scales.

flush it, remove scales and rust, add a proper mix with a water wetting agent. In the pontiac community I hear water wetter is good,

After flushing a system I have used CLR or Drano to remove any grease, stop leak, rust or what ever from the system. Drano will damage water pump seals and aluminum.

then a 50/50 mix

Drano will find any leaks. Dont blame it if your cooling system was about to take a &4#@) any way. Flush it out thoroughly or it will keep on working.

I went 2 years since the last coolant change using this product and still got rust. Must check my maintenance records sooner.

Anyone have better luck?
