which is better?

I did a search but couldnt locate what i needed. Sorry if it has already been said multiple times but which is better for lowering the front. Lower control arms or spindles? Currently I have a flip kit with 2 inch helper leaf in the rear, and springs in the front. Id like to take the helper spring out and lower the front about 2 inches. tips are appreciated!

Not to bag on control arms, but I have felt spindles to be the better package.

The issue with control arms is they move everything up lets say 4 inches, and it seems like almost all the time you get some bump steer in some degree.

On my 07 new style I used 3 inch drop arms, 2.5 drop spindles, and drop shocks. To correct the bump steer I used bolts, and heim joints. I drove fairly aggressively, and barley noticed anything. I will say it could of been the springs, but I never messed with the set up after installation.

Spindles only move the relation up 2.5-3 inches, and maybe another 2 with drop springs or 1/2 what arm will typically do.

Spindles are the way to go in my opinion they are a cheaper way to get down and no where near as labor intensive as replacing the arms. But depending on the condition of your bushings and ball joints and all that stuff you may want to just go through the nose of it anyway and do arms... Be careful and inspect your suspension parts before you drop I got my truck that was lowered "The Right Way" by the previous owner and this is what happened...aka...snowball into avalanche effect!

I would go with spindles because it will keep as close to stock suspension geometry as possible.

I always encourage spindles first. As stated they do not change suspension geometry or have an impact on your ride.
