Hoss and 64 Chevrolets

How could it get any better than this commercial in 1964?

I remember very well those grand Chevrolet commercials during Bonanza on Sunday nights.

Dan even managed to get out of the truck wearing his TGH. I wonder how many takes that required?

I guess that is why they gave Dan a new 1965 Chevelle SS Z16 one of 201 I believe.

Re: Hoss and 64 Chevrolets

My dad knew the boys. I met the primary three on a few occasions. Decades later I met Parnell, who hung out at my shop on a few occasions, a very cool dude. He drove a VW bus, I'd say early 1970s. First time he came in he had a pretty young gal with him. She didn't leave the bus, seemed she spent the time looking at the mirror and make-up.

Yes, if only we could get a new truck with a 230 and a 3 speed. Those damn 5.3s are such junk.

I like the mechanics of the new trucks, but I hate the wrapper.

They lack charm, and are over styled
