Talking 250 vacuum line routing

Hey guys, I'm new on here, but I sure do love the pics and the posts so far!!!! Anyway. I have a 1971 C10 (no)longbed, 250, 3 on-the-tree. It is in restoration process. It has the stock carb, which has 3 vacuum ports. 1 of them on the side of the carb goes to the timing advance. There was a piece of vacuum line connecting the other two ports... something tells me its not supposed to be like that. Could someone inform me on where they go??

Re: 250 vacuum line routing

Do you have the factory service and overhaul manuals? The assembly manual or a driver's handbook? All of these will help in some way.
The factory manuals can be downloaded here.

However to get you started here is an emission diagram showing the vacuum lines for the 71 service manual.
