Talking Re: Pics of your truck in the snow

This was taken several years ago. Before I had the garage.

These were last winter. I drove up to Ashville to pickup some golf cart parts. It started snowing as I got close to Ashville when I left the guy's house there was about 2" on the ground. I know that's not a lot but in a lowered truck with sport tires it was a little nerve racking.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

HDR, High Dynamic Range image. That one is actually a fake I created by playing with levels in photoshop, a true HDR uses multiple pictures of the same image, taken using differing exposures, and them merging them together to highlight certain features.

Re: Pics of your truck in the snow

We got 16 inches out of that one last week. Sucks when you have an uphill driveway and have to back up it to plow it. Being the first plowable snow of the year I had no plow ridges to tell me where the driveway was. Now I know why guys use delineators.
The other picture is ice fishing about 10 years ago. I still take my truck on the lake but don't have any more recent photos. That '94 behind my truck made it just shy of three rounds before my friend had to put it down.

Re: Pics of your truck in the snow

I love driving in it. I think one big difference is between snow in the slow paced country and snow in hustle bustle city. It just makes things pretty and inside more cozy by the woodstove.

Re: Pics of your truck in the snow

This is the most snow my trucks ever seen here in SC back in January 2008. However, we had a BAD storm in January 2011 where we got about 18" of snow. Doesn't sound like much of anything, but without enough equipment and salt only the interstates and major roads were cleared. It then turned to ice. It was about 10 days of driving hell My truck stayed garaged. I had to take my wife to work in my 4x4 because it was the only thing that could make it up the hill out of our driveway:

However, when I've gone back to NY... I've seen a lot of it... that's my 2000 Z71 in the background.
