Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

In a Super, buckets, while also available in the three bench seat colors available for a Super (blue, olive, parchment), were also available in Saddle. So if you selected A50 buckets in a Super, you had two additional vinyl color choices compared to bench trucks (black and saddle).

Good info Pete. This cleared up some hubcap/wheelcover questions I had.

On the Cheyenne side, second paragraph, second sentence,
"headliner in a bright metal frame".

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Ok. Ok..
Visualize

It’s your birthday, 1972
Your finally making over a buck an hour
Now you want to show off for your girlfriend
So,
You go to the local Chevrolet dealership
Order up
A brand new
Cheyenne 4x4
Finally, it’s the day....
They call you and say it’s in
Ohh, man, so excited, you race down to see it

But-When you show up
What
Why doesn’t it have hubcaps

Well,
I’m sorry sir
Cheyenne’s only come with painted ones
But
Chevrolet decided not to drill out the Bowties
On
Any
Of
Them
.
.
.
.

Long time listener
first time caller...
just wanted to say
I love all this
scintillating cap talk.

And any writing,
prose or poetry,
with
a
vertical bias.

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Aww thanks Kirk
I’ve never cut coupons in my life
Hopefully I won’t start now
Although the senior pass to the national parks
Might be a good buy
I’m lucky enough to have
Truck Friends’ all over the country
—-Plenty of places to stop and see/meet y’all as I’m passing through
At some point I’ll be up your way
Not sure if it will be spring, on my way back east
Or
Fall, when I head back to California

That advertisment says it comes with flotation tires. Ive seen that many times before but never had a clue what it means. Drive in to a lake and your truck floats like a VW bug?
