i would like to find another cab but the funds just won't allow it at the time. and being thats all i got in this i am going to try to fix it.(i have another firewall off of a donor)

Well, I would say try to find a cab. I bet sence it is a big rear window you could find a cab pretty cheap. If you do decide to fix it, post a thread in the "projects and build section" Yeah, it's pretty bad, but not impossible, my truck was in pretty bad shape when I got her too! (not quite as bad as yours...but bad)

my 72, just bought it...was it worth the grand i paid for it?
72 c10 1/2 ton, 2wd, manual steering, manual brakes, sm465 4spd, 350 (80's model) holley contender intake, edelbrock performer 650 carb, holley valve covers. new tires. hooker headers. thrush glasspacks.

the biggest problem is inside the cab where the top of the windshield meeds the cab, it's rusting out pretty bad...can this be fixed? what are my options as far as that goes? thanks.

a picture of the rust on the windshield. also how important are the trailing arms? is $350 a good price for a nice non rusted pair of them?

It was worth it! The trailing arms are VERY important, without them you rear end wouldnt be there. $350 for a brand new set? Custom? Used?

they're stock originals, but are not rusted out, have been painted, but need bushings.

If you have leaf springs they aren´t really important.

Imagine this: You are driving down the road just cruisin at about 45 and the left trail arm decides to snap in half or release itself from the frame.
The Axle will slip to the rear of the truck throwing you and your truck in to a spin towards the right side of the road.
Don´t try to steer in the other direction though, by the time you react you will already be in the ditch or the parked cars.

I don´t know what they cost new or used but if you think they are bad any price is right if you need to keep driving the truck.

$300 for flat black stock trialing arms that need bushings, not much of a deal in my opinion.
