V-belt conversion to serpentine belt
I currently bought a 1997 5.7 serpentine systems with a/c and all. I am installing it onto a zz4. all fits well except the left side head doesnt have all the bolt holes. Its an aluminum one too. Any suggestions other than drilling into the head.

Re: V-belt conversion to serpentine belt
Most guys just leave that bolt out. if you have the rest of the studs/bolt installed it will be fine. Drilling the hole is not a big deal just measure the depth of another hole and dont go any deeper than that and be sure to drill straight. I have done it multiple times on heads and blocks.Just gotta be careful

Re: V-belt conversion to serpentine belt
heres the kicker. look at the bracket the way i took the pic is the way the bracket goes upright. the two holes do not match the holes on cylinder head but if i turn it counter clock wise it does. not to mention the bracket has another hole on the bottom you just cant see it.
