Maybe parting 89 blazer full size.

Just picked this one up. It is complete with a bad engine. Silverado, 350, 4x4. Let me know if you need something and i will post pics and prices. May sell complete or trade for 67-72 parts. Eric.
I will add some pics later.

Eric, how are the doors? Looking for rust free doors for my Burb. If the seams are very clean along the bottom, I am interested...and can pick up too.

Re: Maybe parting 89 blazer full size.

Kurt, no woodgrain, and a gray dash pad with a few cracks.
pcmcobra, i am going to leave the engine as a complete set up.
jeffspower, do you see what you need in the pics?
seeten, the grill looks pretty nice with one spot of chrome coming off. The drivers side bezel is dinged up. I think that is seperate from the grill though. $75 plus ship.
jeff, the doors look really nice on the bottom. The drivers door has some rust up high on the outside where the paint flaked off. (see pic) I think that could be saved easy enough. Pass. door looks good. There is dirt caked on the bottoms that make them look bad. Are you wanting them complete? glass, power window motors, int panels?
More pics to follow...

Re: Maybe parting 89 blazer full size.

Hmm, That grill is different than what I need. I would have to have the entire grill/bezels and core support to make it work for me. It looks like I'll have to keep looking. Thanks

Re: Maybe parting 89 blazer full size.

I forgot that the '89 Blazer was the old body style yet- strap parts won't work for me. Are you coming down to the board meet in July? If so, I might be interested in the 700r4/208 if you could bring it along.

Re: Maybe parting 89 blazer full size.

Eric, all I need are the door shells, nothing else. The mud makes it real hard to tell their true condition. When it warms up, if you could clean them and get back to me that would be great. If you get intrest from others, go ahead and proceed with them, as I am in no hurry and don't need right here and now.

Also, what would you be looking for for both shells?

Re: Maybe parting 89 blazer full size.

jeffspower, sakohntr and i just discussed trying to make the board meet. It would be good to sell a few parts there to help pay for the gas... Will have to see what happens when it gets closer.
Jeff, They look pretty nice from what i can tell. I would like to get around $250 complete for the pair. I don't have much use for the inner parts. I will clean them up when it warms up a little. Price may drop a little if i find anything else wrong with them. Eric

Re: Maybe parting 89 blazer full size.

How much for the speedometer cable drive setup from the NP241?

I'd need the tailhousing, gear & retainer along with the speedo cable insert

Re: Maybe parting 89 blazer full size.

Korey, i must have sold the extra set i had. Sorry. I would sell the complete wheels with caps and rings, but i won't ship them.
Dean, Looks to be all power from what i can tell.
Russell, i was told it was a 208. I am going to keep the engine, trans, and trans case complete. I will sell them seperatly, but i don't want to steal any parts off them.

Re: Maybe parting 89 blazer full size.

If it isn't a 208, and is an NP241, would you consider selling me the cable drive if I send you a VSS tailhousing to keep it as a complete transfercase?

Re: Maybe parting 89 blazer full size.

Russell, how can i tell which trans case it is? What is the advantage to having a cable drive? Not sure what a vss housing is. Is the cable drive something that would be better for an older pickup swap? As you can tell, i need to learn a little about this set up. Thanks, Eric

Re: Maybe parting 89 blazer full size.

Yep, its an 89 only thing, uses the same kind of speedometer cable drive like the older trucks use, which makes it easier to swap into older rigs. The newer fuel injected rigs after that used an electric speedometer with the VSS.

I found one locally though, so no worries about it

Re: Maybe parting 89 blazer full size.

Russell, i am glad you found one. So how can i tell what trans case it is? Is it safe to assume this has a 700r4 trans? Can you give me any idea what the value of the trans-transfer case is? When you say this is a one year only thing, what would the difference be for an 88 model? Sorry to keep bugging ya...
