Windshield Washer Pump
Hi Folks, The washer pump on my truck hasn't worked since I bought it. I rewired the truck with a painless system and replaced the washer pump. It started out pumping really well then seemed to slow down a bit. It also runs continuously when the wipers are on. I checked the wiring and it appears to be wired correctly. The wipers motor parks itself correctly when you turn the switch off. Any ideas? I also replaced the switch, no help. Thanks, Jack

Re: Windshield Washer Pump
I suggest unplug the washer plug at the motor, and check with a test light or multimeter that the dark blue wire is not grounded except when you press the wash switch.
Did you replace just the washer part of your old wiper motor? Or put in something aftermarket? |

Re: Windshield Washer Pump
Nothing aftermarket concerning the washer pump. I did install a painless wiring harness but used the stock switch.
