I shall call him... mini-me

Getting sick of spending $300+/month on gas, so I went and picked up a 99 S-10 today. 2wd, 2.2L, 5 speed manual. I'm keeping the silverado, so it has a little twin buddy now

I got a great deal on it I couldn't pass up. I drove it around for about 2 hours last night and the fuel gauge barely moved (no, it wasn't on full ). That would have been 1/4 tank in my other trucks

It's somewhat of a base model. Manual windows/door locks, am/fm cassette It does have A/C But it does have the painted bumpers and the cool rims, so it wasn't a total base model.

Nice ride. Been looking for one of those myself. Only a 4x4 version.

Re: I shall call him... mini-me

Thanks I REALLY like it. I looked on/off for about 3 months for one when I found this one. Jena even likes it

The 4x4's are not easy to come by!

I went for max fuel mileage on this one.

My dad has a white '00 S-10 stepside 2.2L 5 speed and he's getting low/mid 20's average and high 20's interstate.

Re: I shall call him... mini-me

Thanks

These pics are a little better. I really like driving the little booger. A manual makes a boring engine much more enjoyable No, I didn't do the boo boo on the bumper, came with the truck Otherwise it's almost completely ding free. That's Jena's fuel sipper next to mine. It's a 98 Corolla.

Re: I shall call him... mini-me

You, me and most everybody else is looking for a higher mileage little truck these days. I imagine they are bringing a pretty penny too!
