They've been off of the truck for a couple years, but I still got 'em.

OLDSKYDOG - Those 8-luggers look terrible, you should get those off that truck and sell them to me.

Re: Show me your slots

I love aluminum slots. I've always run them, but don't have any tires for the ones that go on my '72. I've always called them aluminum slots since there used to also be chrome slots.

I'm surprised no one has remade these. They were big back in the day. Sure, aluminum is better as we all know now. But there has always been some sort of chrome steel wheel available for those who want an economic alternative to alloys and are either willing to take a chance on keeping up with them or just don't know pitting is inevitable. But with today's garage queens that wouldn't be hard, then there's the nostalgia factor.
I only have one far away shot of a '71 4wd work truck with 0.75 x 16.5 aluminum slots and a few of my '71 Cheyenne Custom Camper/20 with 8.25s on front and 9.75s on back:

Yeah, you're right. They are awful. I should probably just get rid of the whole truck so I don't have to look at them.

I pay up to $150 to remove vehicles. Right now I'm running a spring special offer on 67-72 trucks with aluminum slots. I will wash the windows in your house, freshen up your mulch, paint your mailbox post, and sweep your driveway.
