Re: Need info/advice re pulled rocker stud and probably stuck valves
"No one has spoken to the possible effect upon normal idle in the case of two non-working valves (one can dead). Any experience there?"
Yeah, Me, kinda.... My Son's ol' Ramcharger overheated & blew a head gasket. We needed to load it on a trailer to get it home. The engine locked up on a cylinder full of coolant and wouldn't turn over... takes surprisingly little liquid in a cylinder to hydro-lock an engine. I pulled the plug out of the offending cylinder and it fired up and ran. Loaded it on the trailer & it ran & idled ok... sounded AWFUL blowing compression through the plug hole. Ran to unload off the trailer & moved it around the yard some 'til a friend bought it & fixed the head gaskets. He drove it around for a long time after that.
