I’ve seen some people mention having to run Toyota spacers due to the hub size issue? Just trying to buy all this stuff once and be right! Thanks again man very helpful. Truck looks awesome can’t wait for mine!

In my truck it won't clear the tubs and that's because of the height I wouldn't be able to go that low with them on also remember my truck is bagged ..
Part number no longer brings up a wheel spacer. Do you happen to remember what the size of the opening was for the spacer to fit the hubs?

I don't exactly remember. I want to say the stock hub is 4" and the guy I had do my wheels bored them slightly larger than that, maybe 4.1". I don't know for certain, but could measure it this evening if you want to know exactly. All I know is the wheel isn't hub centric anymore, as in, the wheel bore is slightly larger than the hub on the axle and the wheel is centered with the lugnuts. I had to get different lugnuts (these) since the transits are technically made for slightly larger studs. As for my spacers, I also had to bore those out to fit so I don't know what spacers would work without modification.

Yea that would’ be awesome if you have time to measure them. No rush man. So my plan would be this (tell me if I’m missing anything here)

1.) get all 4 wheel centers bored to clear the hubs
2.) run 1.25-1.5” spacers on the rears (either find ones that fit our hubs or get them bored as well) if I’m reading your instructions right I shouldn’t have to use spacers on the fronts.
3.) make sure the studs now are long enough to clear the new setup. I’m gonna look at what the other guys mentioned above and check out the Toyota style spacers that may fit.

I’m going to run a hubcentric spacer if at all possible for safety and stability reasons so if I find a solution that fits I’ll def let you know. Thanks again for the help man much appreciated

That looks mostly good to me. Some notes

1) Correct. Only exception here is if you plan to do a disk swap in the process of getting these wheels mounted. The rotors have a smaller hub and fit inside the transit center without boring them. If you are running all drums, then they all need to be bored.

2)Correct. No spacers on front needed. The rears are technically called adapters. There are no spacers that wide. Adapters bolt to your existing studs and then have their own studs that the wheel bolts to.

3)See 2). You won't need to replace the studs if you run adapters.

The only thing you didn't mention is getting the lugnuts I referenced above. I HIGHLY recommend getting those for the fronts. for the rears, you won't need them if you get adapters because those usually have the larger studs in them (and I think they come with lugnuts).

You can also wash them with this soap. Not sure if "Wagon Train" makes soap, but this stuff gets em clean:

The center hub on the stock steel wheels specs out right at 3.5" and my bore on the transits is 3.7". There's definitely some room to tighten that up but I think you're going to have to be really sure you can get the bore centered. I can see on my wheels that the bore is ever so slightly off center, so it's a good thing the bore isn't centering the wheel on the hub because it would probably vibrate.

I have a 1998 Chevy that is a light duty 3/4 ton. I plan on using the engine, transmission and rear Axle in my 64. Will the transport wheels need to be bored for a 1998 6 lug rear end? I am also wondering what how close the width is on the 1998 rear end is vs the 1964.
Of coarse I can measure it but I am not to that point yet.

I'm pretty sure it will be 3-4" wider than your original differential.

Hi Everyone.
I got my 22" transports from kijiji from a guy in red deer

I used the hubcap clips from the guy on instagram. they were easy to put on

I used just regular "dog dish" hubcaps, baby moons, got them from a place in Edmonton on Calgary trail, just south of 63 Ave, hubcap king or something like that.

the 22s have been great.

I have a CPP 5-6 drop. no rubbing except hard bumps in the rear. I think the tires touch the inner wheel well. other than that its all great.

and all I did to fit them on the rear was a 1/2" spacer. I didn't have to bore the center out.

1/2" spacer won't work without extending the lugs. There wouldn't be enough material and it would be really dangerous driving like that. Stock studs only have 3/4" material on the outside of the drum.

I've been selling them for about 4 years now.
