Shocks for K20 used for wood Hauling

Hey Guys,

I am looking for recommendations on a new set of shocks for my K20. Our main use for the truck is hauling wood and dirt roads. The current shocks feel non existent and my pregnant wife does not find it too comfortable (they may be the stock shocks still). I'm not necessarily looking for a super firm ride but just to take the edge off when on the rough roads hauling wood.

I use my K20 about the same as you do. I went with KYB Gas-A-Just shocks and have been satisfied with them. Reasonable price, ride somewhat firmer than OEM (especially when new) and they have a decent life expectancy. In spite of the name, they are not adjustable -- I guess the name implies that they adjust automatically to changing conditions.

Not sure how much or what kind of wood you are throwing in your box, but shocks are irrelevant after you throw 3000 pounds of wood in your box. Unless you are loading with pine or basewood or some other soft wood 5hat is near worthless. It doesn't take much oak to hit 2000 lbs. Which once again makes shocks irrelevant.

Just out of curiosity, are you running a leaf or coil setup?

The softest ride wouod be with a set of hydralic shocks not a set of gas charged shocks. you could probably take your pick on the brand

Monroe Sensatracs are supposed to have a plush ride. No experience though, I usually try for something with firm control.
