Hole/Missing bracket on back of cab? *pic*

What were these holes for? I haven't looked inside the cab, behind the gas tank yet.

This pic is of the passenger side cab corner area.

That was for those rare NASCAR Deceleration flaps. If you ever loose control and spin out they would flip up and stop slow you down. I haven't seen them on one of our trucks yet.

THATS what its for!! Slipped my mind. corvette option. From your cab it looks like there used to be a strap or somthing that went under the cab. a mid body, under the cab wing???? if your truck is a longbed you would need a wing right in the middle to get some added down force. But i've never seen a corvett option glove box sticker, so i'm probably way off.

comedians, eh? lol

I think my truck might have seen a frame off at some point and those are holes from the cab being mounted to a rotisserie. No idea.. I know it's been repainted. I'm going to look for holes on the other side now.

LOL too good. I see a big F**d CEO with your cab on a rack and a BBQ rub trying to make it tender, but cant soften it up

Might be the redneck engeneer in me, but if i put those holes there, from the rust pattern on the back of the cab, i might of tried to put a 85 saddle tank tucked under there with a stock 85 strap at some point.

But the dad in me says it could be for a child saftey seat hook. But thats just crazy talk.

Looks like where the rear strap of a running board would hang...
