Re: 1980 C-10 electric choke wiring

sorry, guess my post was mis-leading....
i'm not looking to buy anything, i'm looking for someone with info on the wiring, such as a diagram showing the choke wiring. the diagram I have doesn't show much and what it shows is for a 6 cylinder.
I found a large relay by my fuse block under the dash which i believe is a choke timed relay, but I'm unsure, it isn't listed on the diagram I have.
sorry for the confusion

joe, i believe that all you need to do is hook the choke up to 12v switched power.

Re: 1980 C-10 electric choke wiring

Yep..... just hook it into the fuse block using power when the key is in the "ON" position....that will start the process of slowly opening the choke. Just did it on my '80 which originally had the intake thermo set up. Works great.

Re: 1980 C-10 electric choke wiring

so it stays powered while the key is on, and the constant power heats up the coil and opens the choke? huh, make since, way simpler than I was thinking
thanks!!
