10 bolt question
Hi all,
I am wanting to get a locker for my 10 bolt rear end but don't know what size 10 bolt I have. How do I tell if I have an 8.5 or an 8.6? The 10 bolt came off a 1985 suburban. Thanks for any help! |

Re: 10 bolt question
As far as I know the 8.6" 10 bolt didn't come out until 2000, so yours should be a 8.5"

Re: 10 bolt question
If it's an Eaton "10 bolt" in a 3/4 ton... it's a whole different animal.

Re: 10 bolt question
Not in '85, the squares have 14 bolt full floaters in the 3/4 ton trucks/burbs.

Re: 10 bolt question
Thanks for the replies all! One more question, I don't want to pull off the diff cover again and was wondering if anyone knew the spline count for the 85' rear-end??
Thanks for all your help!! |
