70’ C10 LS Project. Any Opinions?

Hey Guys. I just finally picked up my new to me 1970 C10 Longbed. I know this subject is worn out but I just had a few questions and I wanted a few opinions. The truck I am starting with is a 307 with an Auto Trans. I have access to a 2002 Corvette LS1 with all wiring and accessories and I also have a LQ4 Engine with all the same stuff. Any pros or cons to either of those? My LS Knowledge is zero. Also I was planning on doing a 4l60 or 4l80, will I need to do any modifications to my floor to run either of those? Thanks in advance!
