Not bad for a rookie....
Working on a 66 fleet and this is my first shot at metal work/rust repair etc...I feel pretty good with how this pan and kick panel turned out...holes line up perfectly on the floor support etc...got it all cut in tight and now its ready to weld..the repop floor pan was not even close on the firewall side pinch weld area so i beat it flat and broke it over where it needed to be..was relieved when it all fit together well..

that should work. remember to POR the crap out of the areas you can not do after you weld it together. The new parts will rust out in a few years if you don't

Once i get it all welded up and before i put the outer rocker on, how should i treat the new metal? I was thinking red scotch brite and then hit is with some primer...Is there an epoxy primer i can get in a rattle can, or anything i can use in a rattle can just to protect it for now...Once all body/rust repair is done, everything will get sprayed the right way..

I see no reason to prime it now and then having to remove it all later to apply some 'good' primer. Unless you are going to leave it outside in the rain.

The factory e-coat is pretty tough, but you could coat the insides with either an epoxy primer. POR15 or a similar quality coating. But as LT1 Burb said, do not coat where you are going to weld. Also Eastwood makes an aerosol can with a flexible tube that is designed to be used to coat the insides of cavities for rust protection.

More progress...replaced a small section of inner that had a little rust on it and got it tacked in as well.. got the kickpanel cut to fit and lower front piller cut as well.. the kick panel was pretty much gone where it meets the floor pan so I hope it goes back together as its supposed to...it gets confusing sometimes because multiple replacment parts have the same pieces on them...gotta figure out what i need and what can be cut off etc..
