Not sure how to ask this question

[70' GMC]

I had a 1970 gmc and I was thinking about getting another one. But I was thinking a 72 4x4 would be awesome but I don't where to look except here. All I know is that I miss that hunk of steel 😭

I bought a 72 Long Bed 4x4 truck a while back that I love . I bought it from California and had it shipped to Ga .

Well....up here in the PNW (Pacific North West)....this is mountainous country....not flat lander territory like the prairies, mid-west, etc.

As a result, a lot of 4x4's ended up on the road up here...and as a result of that....there are more of them around for use and for sale.
As an example if you check out Seattle and/or surrounding area craigslists you will probably find quite a few available and for sale.

That said, everyone wants to find their next truck, ideally....in the same neighbourhood they live in...which makes it easier to buy and they can personally inspect it, no shipping costs, etc.
Unfortunately sometimes your 'dream truck' might be further away than expected.
If so, you can always make arrangements to have it shipped or temporarily stored and you can make a trip and bring it back.
A lot of guys here have done that in the past to great result....including myself.

I bought my '72 Chev (blue/white highlander) out of California and had it shipped north to Blaine, Washington.
My '66...I bought in Florida and my wife and I flew down and drove it back.
So there are lots of options to get your truck back to your location.

First tho'.....for the sake of it, check out Craigslist in Seattle and surrounding areas.....you might find your truck!

hey OP, this is what I did for the full court press in my search for suburbans..

you could set up a similar search pattern with the terms of what you're looking for..

might have to open a couple of different search arrays with different terms, such as 4x4 / 4 x 4 / 4wd / four wheel drive / you get the idea..
