Front and rear end fitment question

I have an opportunity to purchase a mid 70's Dana 44 complete front end and a mid 70's GM 12 bolt complete rear end. I just wanted to make sure before purchase that they will fit on my 1965 C10. If they fit it is a direct bolt on or are there some mods that will need to be made?

Re: Front and rear end fitment question

Front is pretty much bolt in. Shock mounts are lil different. Rear will need perches moved in, shocks should be on the lift blocks.

Re: Front and rear end fitment question

If you have a C10 as you state and not a K10, none of that will bolt in.

On my son’s ‘72 Jimmy project we are swapping in an ‘84 8 lug 10 bolt and 9.5” semi-float 14 bolt from a K20 Suburban. The front axle is a bolt in while the rear required shock mount and spring pad relocation. I did this same swap on my Jimmy for the rear axle and swapped the 10 bolt 8 lug brake parts onto my original Dana 44.

Re: Front and rear end fitment question

Ah....... thanks I think that is right that parts are off a 4 wheel drive and my c10 is not so they do not match. I did catch that fact when I was Looking at them I only focused on the year of manufacture. Thanks guys for your help. As always this site and the people that are on it are amazing.
