73 Clamshell Motor Mounts

After reading multiple on top of multiple threads about which motor mounts/adapter to use for an LS swap on 67-72 trucks I have decided to go with a 73 clamshell mount and the dirty dingo sliding adapters.

Is this the correct 73 clamshell mount that they refer to?

Also, is there anything else required besides the clamshell mounts and the DD sliders to mount the engine in place?

Thanks.

This is the engine side mount. The following dirty dingo slider will be used instead of this part. You will need to buy the frame side parts off the 73+.

The pieces in the link are the one that bolt to the motor. You do not need those with the DD sliders. You need the pieces that bolt to the frame mounts.

I used the same set up. Here is a pic of the frame mounts and the sliders on the motor.

Re: 73 Clamshell Motor Mounts

Are you able to run the factory ac compressor in the factory position with these motor mounts?

Re: 73 Clamshell Motor Mounts

In my 1969 C10 I have factory AC in the factory position with the DD slider and clam shell mounts. However, it is tight. I did a bit of clearancing on the frame and had to modify the compressor hose connections to get them to fit.
