Missed opportunity!
Putting gas in the Chevy, and as happens sometimes, a guy walks up to chat. This was a bit different- Before long, he said "That's a $30,000 truck!"
Ummm... Nope. This is NOT a thirty thousand dollar truck. "Yes it is!" He told me it's all original. No it isn't. I could not convince him otherwise. Whatever.... After I left, I thought what a missed opportunity- Should have offered it to him for half-price! For fifteen grand, I'd even leave the loose change in the ashtray for him! |

I worked at a chevy dealership for a few years and the owner and his brother have hundreds of antique cars. I saw one or two a week for the six years I worked there. One day a guy came in and looked at a 58 olds sitting in my stall. He said wow, that car has been completely restored. I said no it hasn't. He said yes it has look at it, it's like brand new. I said no it hasn't. Finally I showed him it only had a little over 1500 miles on it and had the original 58 inspection sticker in the windshield. I told him that the car is 100% original and he nearly flipped out.
