70blowngmc: It has to come out at an angle with a little turn. Barely enought room. whats going to be tough is here in CA, most gas pumps have a big ol rubber boot around the nozzle. I'm keeping mental notes of the places that don't so that i know where i can go!

Here is my interior with a converted van tilt, Autometer Phantom Gauges, seats from a 98 or 99 Silverado and door panels that I made to match the seats.

Also have a custom gas tank built by fuelcellguy on the flatbed. Filled in the stock gas filler hole on the cab.

You can buy a gas cap that doesn't have to be removed. It has a hole to put the fuel nozzle in and it's spring loaded so gas won't leak out.

May not work for your cali pumps?

Here's a pic and I got it from this thread:

I have one on my white stepper made by Perma-Cap. The cap has a round flap door in the center for the gas nozzle to go thru. I have had it on for five years and never any trouble at all. This may be worth looking into for yours.
