Glad you finally got it home, now you can go out and really play! Does any one know if NAPCO did conversions on any other makes? There are 3 big F series close by that are 4X4.

Bruce, I am so glad you got that! I have been watching it in my Wisc trader mag for 3 weeks now.

I have a line on something you might want. take a look and let me know. I don't know the price but condition is sweet and it has a 427 under the hood.

Bruce, the truck in my post above is a 1972. This truck is also a NAPCO and it is in the same yard. That and another big wheeled rig a little older than yours.

Wet knuckle with drum brakes. Power steering (ram assist) and power vacuum brakes. Has one buddy bucket in it but the framework has been cobbled so i dont know if there should of been two. The cab is pretty bad around the roof where the marker lights leaked. Somebody butchered the clip to accomodate the 52 inch tires. It has 2 operational rear pto outputs. One on the trani and one on the transfer case. Originally was a dual rear wheel unit but the current tires dont allow enough room. It runs and drives nice but has been severly neglected. I hope to give it a "joesjunk" level restoration down the road after my kids get older. Until then it will be throwing dirt in the back 40 for a spell.
And to think the last guy was glad to see it leave (hes a FORD GUY). I cant count all the thumbs up we got trailering it home......... More pics to come!
I think the big block version was a 427

The 427 trucks said 427 on the louvers.I had a`67 C/50 that had 1 louver and a 366.Here`s a newer body on an older frame I`d like to put a 67/72 body on.Does the axle look the same?:

That is very cool. You must get more pics of the axles and drivetrain posted. It kinda looks like a prior owner installed short lift blocks on the front axle. When you get around to it, inspect that as lift blocks on a steering axle aren't a good idea. Those may be pinned to the leaf pack or welded, but still look into that.

What a cool find!!!

Joe, it has been lifted. Not pretty but functioning. And as far as color goes, I was thinking ochre. The original white with green interior aint gonna cut it.
There are lift blocks but those are gonna come out when i do the frame-off. Toomuchstuff has a picture of a napco in his silver book. I want to see how high these sat originally. Should have a better choice of tire than back then.

It should look pretty good sitting back at stock height. I have a friend that has a 72 1ton napco 4x4, and it sits pretty high.
