Re: Satellite Radio- XM or Sirius ??

I got both, have favorite channels on each, as far as the units, I like my XM Roady II, it's small and has a built in fm transmitter, so I can move it from car to car. The Sirius portable weighs a pound or two and mostly stays in the garage.

It depends on what you like to listen to. I have had both and I like XM better because it's commercial free for the most part. Sirius is NOT commercial free at all.

Re: Satellite Radio- XM or Sirius ??

i like sirius and ive listend to both for long periods of time. neither is commercial free, but sirius has all the sports you want, basketball, football, baseball and now NASCAR. also sirius has playboy and maxim radio which is awesome. octane is the best rock station on either and blue collar comedy radio kicks arse.

Dumped XM after I started hearing commericals. You may also want to note if you find a station you like, they play the same stuff over and over and over.

I've got 2 Sirius radios. The Streamer GT stays in my wife's Toyota, the XACT visor is either in the house or my car. I've even set up a home kit for work.

Re: Satellite Radio- XM or Sirius ??

I've had XM for almost a year now. I LOVE it. As part of your subscription you can also listen online, so I use it at work a lot too. Only thing that sucks is that they are losing NASCAR, but honestly, wherever I drive a local "country" station will have the race on.... so not a big deal. I travel a lot, so I use it a lot. I've noticed some commercials sneaking in on "highway 16" and channel 11 has quite a bit of commercials. All the others I listen too seem to be commercial free.

Re: Satellite Radio- XM or Sirius ??

Well, yesterday i finally made up my mind and purchased the Sirius Starmate 4. I had to install the FM Direct Adapter today, as the wireless route just didn't cut it for me. Audio quality just wasn't there. She's back Rockin' n Rollin again ! I'm happy !
