I've been meaning to call Mario about that Suburban rear a/c set-up John had that he wanted. I told John he wanted it but he didn't want to deal with shipping. I was considering "brokering" the deal (for John's price) by buying it and taking care of the shipping. I'll make sure John brings it to the show. Would you let Mario know?
Hey, sorry I missed this earlier, that would be great, Mario got the rear a/c, and I believe it was from that gentleman, I have a shipping Addy in Lewiston NY and had it brought into the country that way. The Suburban is getting some rear end work this week as it still isn't right. Hopefully she'll be smooth sailing for this trip, we are bringing our 68 as well, we'll be crowded though compared to them.

Hope that the weather was with you for this weekend for the show.

The ATHS puts out a nice magazine, Wheels of Time. I always read mine cover to cover. Well worth the couple of dollars to join.

Re: ATHS National Show '15

1212 total. I parked the last trucks on Saturday and that is the o-fficial number. beats the past record of 1O56 by a good bit. Hella show. I'm pretty sure this was the biggest truck show on Earth...to date. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the ATHS National Convention draws more than any other show. Every truck will be shown in Wheels of Time's annual "Showtime" issue. If you join, you will get a copy. I think it comes out in October.
I am trying to figure out how to bulk upload onto Pissbucket w/o using their new automatic backup and it's got me riled. I don't want every picture I put on my computer to automatically go there. All that'll do is max it out so I have to pay for more bandwidth. I've had two computers crash on me and never lost a single picture out of p-bucket, so why would I need it? I guess since I can't get any human help from those a-holes I'm stuck posting 400+ pictures one at a time by attaching files. Damn I hate all this smoke and mirror bs. Sorry for the rant. I've used it for over 10 years and they had to go change it around for idiot phones I guess.

I'll start with my buddy Chuck's house where we started. I ran his '54 up following him in his '58 Reo. I had intended to categorize the trucks, but...

Re: ATHS National Show '15

I guess you guys in and around KC know all about the ATHS headquarters with the old CF semi sign. Hey bill, only one 9500. It's coming. Probably half dozen fat cab 930s. plenty of Detroit Power, too. our chapter (Mel Fair) brought a portable loading ramp and all the loading/off loading went on right next to us. I think there were two buzzin' dozens that I know of. there were two Macks from Australia, a first year R-model and a newer trailer train tractor

Glad you're liking them s far. These are all true "snap shots". I try to stop in the right place, frame it up, and snap before someone walks into it. I may miss the tips of stacks or a bit of one end, but hopefully most turned out decent.

It's really something to consider what the fellers go through to bring these trucks for folks to see. No judging, no prize, no trophies, just love of trucks. I talked with guys from Alberta to Florida. El turbo, the famous California '49 Peterbuilt, was there. I think it gets trailered, but that puppy has 6 million miles on the clock!

farm truck to mining, Examples from by-gone national fleets to custom privateers, door to door milk trucks to fuel oil delivery and canopy express fruit wagons, a three day museum of commercial vehicles. I'd love to make it to Oregon next year for the NW trucks. There was one fine red L Mack logger there. You'll see it coming up. Look close at these trucks and you may find some exceptional features. Like that old IH with extended nose a few back. Don't know the story but you can figure it was for a bigger power plant. Factory-built customs. That's what is cool about trucks. If there's a need it will be built

That GMC had the big gas 6. I have a friend with a truck that could be it's twin. same colors and motor, even same wheels and rubber. He and his twin brother brought a few of their other trucks. One I know I shot. It's the mid-60s Ford F850(?) tandem Super Duty that was in the pictures from our local show I posted

I'm lovin' all the trucks I never gave a second thought to. Know what I mean?

There was one Corbitt there. Isn't it amazing you can be in California the days or week before the show and see trucks on the rad you know are heading to a shw on the East Coast?.

That last truck Chuck lettered a couple years ago at the Tri-state show. He did 6-8 small jobs while there. What a trade? He got to see all the trucks, paid for his good time and fuel, and probably got bigger jobs for his shop later on. Wait till you see his Cushman package car he puts his paint kit in a jockeys over to their trucks

I really did take over 400 shots. It's not that the other 800 trucks weren't worthy either. This will take a while, so keep coming back. These are for all for you to save your favorites of just a place to kill time and be taken away to a better place
