WTB 8 lug clamp rings for dually

I bought some used wheels the other day and need the clamp rings. I have 9/16 studs.

I hope I called them the right name, they go against the outboard face of the wheel, under the lug nuts on flat flange wheels that don't have a conical seat for lug nuts.

Can I just use the cone washers like newer duallies? not crazy about the look of these things but I know something is needed. The studs can get sheared off if you don't use them I am told. I am still interested nonetheless.

I found mine do you still want them?

I converted mine to the nuts with intregral washers from the 95-98 chevy dually but these are metric threads and you would need to change the wheel studs to match to the tune of about $2.50 per stud plus the cost of the new nuts.

I did it because i really liketh the look of that generation of nut / hub copver and wanted it.

Have a nice day!

Re: WTB 8 lug clamp rings for dually

I have the factory manual for the 1970 C-30. They're calling them "wheel stud reinforcement rings" I too am hunting like crazy for a pair of these. I contacted GM(e-mail) and they actually called me . I was told that these rings are no longer Made BY GM and production was stopped 8 years ago. In my mind, there are far too many of the earlier dually trucks and especially the P-30 vans out there to just up and stop making these. After all they are actually a wear part and the lug seats in these don't last for ever. Seems like this would be one for some of these adapter manufacturers or some guy with a punch press in his back yard to start cranking out. heck, change the design! flat plate, 8x6.5 lug pattern with countersunk holes in 3/16" plate. done deal. If anyone knows where i can find these since the junkyards around here keep tossing them, please let me know. Thanks. .........billsc30 ( 1968 c30, 152" wheel base. )

I need 2 of these rings if anyone has any. I’d appreciate any insight. I’ve found these, https://www.anythingtruck.com/product/220-33521.html but I wasn’t sure if they’d work. I don’t see why they wouldn’t, but I figured it would be best to ask.
