Re: 87 on a 74 frame

body mounts to frame vintage 73-80 or 81-87-91 .

otherwise bolt it up . maybe need floor pan work if the hump is 2wd on the 87 and the frame being 4wd . the later/newer body's had no unbolting dog house .

also fuel filler necks get them from the 87 . and the fuel hose might need some work . early tanks had a smaller inlet size for the fillers . or just use the 87 tanks and be done with it .

Re: 87 on a 74 frame

I'm putting my 75 long bed single cab on an 86? cucv frame and the only thing I found so far is on the second set of holes on the bed coming from the cab are different and will need to be drilled in the frame. This doesnt seem to be well known.

You will have to use body mounts that match the year of the frame.

Also I found the one fuel tank mounting bracket was different between my frames.
