they also say that speakers pointing directly at each other will sound really bad so you want an angle on them to put the sound out into the cab

I mounted mine under the dash without any boxes or panels .I made brackets with plumbers straps and fastened one above the gas pedal to the firewall and the other behind the ductwork on the passenger side firewall. I have them pointing downward on a 45 degree angle. They sound pretty good. Dont see them at all.

For the record...I had to put this project on hold, due to work issues and lack of time. I have my complete system sitting in boxes and I will aventually get to making the speaker panels...sorry for the delay guys.

Re: speaker Kick panel....bummer

I'm opening this thread back up because I've FINALLY decided to do these. But I'm going to go with 6x9's. Since so many guys responded to this thread I was wondering if anybody actually did these and if anybody did 6x9's

Re: speaker Kick panel....bummer

I've got a nice set of eclipse 6x9's that I planned on putting in the doors, but I'm going to measure and see if its worth building kicks. The E-brake, vents and dimmer are all potential problems. The dimmer is no big deal, just a couple screws (getting new carpet anyways) but the floor vent and E-brake are a problem.

I got some Roddoors for Christmas and I'm about to install them. I'd really had to cut into them. They look so pretty.

Re: speaker Kick panel....bummer

So what is the total depth you have with the vendor kickpanels? And will any component set fit them?
