Re: Any pictures of Stepsides with Coys C5?

Dragging this discussion back up for some opinions...my current setup is '68 stepside, 4.5/6 ECE drop, early (narrower) rearend converted to 5 lug, no tubbing or major trimming on rear fender lip. I want to run either 17x9.5 or 18x9.5 wheels on the rear *(275-285 wide tire)...so will 4.5 BS be enough?

To add another wrinkle to this equation, I'd like to be able to swap these wheels onto my '63 short fleet (w/ 4/6 drop & narrow 5 lug rearend setup).

BTW, 68stepbed, I really like the stance and overall look of your truck! its been one of my major influences to keep the '68 as a stepper.

First off, I want to say Thank You!

Second, from the figuring I did, 4.25" bs would be optimal for a 9.5" wheel with the narrower rearends.

Re: Any pictures of Stepsides with Coys C5?

Just wanted to finally give an update to my wheel choice and specs

Thanks to all the help and discussion on this thread I was able to research, learn, and correctly measure for my wheels and they fit great. I have about .5" of even clearance on each side of my rear tire inside the stock fender and bedside, may try to go with a hair wider tire when the time comes but no complaints as it and no rubbing front or rear

I went with AR Salt Flats with Toyo Proxes ST II's and added my specs to the summary sheet (Coys were out stock of the Matte version and had no clear timeline of when they would get another shipment at the time)

Also wanted to give a big thanks to Travis here on the board with Pro Performance he was also a big help and worked with me alot on picking out the right style wheels
