I sure wouldn't chance it -- between suspension travel and tire compression under load, that 1/4" could turn to zero in a hurry. YMMV.

(Sucks about the rim, BTW!!)

Yeah, I am trying to find some 1/2" spacers right now. Any recommendations on a dealer that can overnight them in 5x5 lug pattern?

was going to wait on the chrome. but has anybody seen these grey rims on a silver truck? The price keeps trying to convince me they would look pretty good?

1/2" spacers will require longer studs as well. I personally would not exceed 1/4" width for spacers (too much stress on the studs)....

Do you see any issue using the adapters that have the studs on them (bolt the adapter on and then bolt the wheel to the adapter)

Wouldn't use 'em on a 1500HP dragster, but they should be fine for anything street-driven.

You can't even start the threads with the 1/4" spacer, so either way you need em. The front was even questionable with no spacer, might consider longer studs on the front and back.

I am looking at a 1" bolt on spacer with studs cause I think I have the room to move out at least an inch in the rear.

The panel is a 69 so I'm still running a 6x5.5 BP, I don't have any pics but I can pull a wheel off if you really want to see it.

He doesn't have the Boss 338 wheels on the panel truck -- just spacers with different wheels is what he meant, I believe. Only way to put 338s on that panel (short of a 5-lug conversion) would be to set 'em on the hood.

Maybe I shouldn't speak for him, but I'm sure he meant he had a set of spacers.

No problem w/billet adapters which are different vs. aluminum 'spacers'. The issue w/using adapters is their minimum thickness is 1". If you can use that 1" they'd work. If you need less, you need a different plan.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**

I just placed an order for a set of 20x8.5 and 20x10 chrome, should be about 2-3 weeks before they are sent out.

Where'd you get that info? Last I heard there was no shipping estimate for chrome 20s. With none actually in the warehouses, don't be surprised if that 2-3 weeks turns into 2-3 months.

not considering it myself but I knew someone running the coys 20X10's on a 67 (narrow) rear and they had the 1" adapters and it looked perfect as far as backspacing on those particular wheels and wanted to bring that thought out for those it might help.

I updated the first post to reflect the new status. (Still won't believe it until they're in the warehouses. )
