Question 1988 R30 Vent Issue

Hey guys picked up a very clean 1988 R30 last week. Been messing with getting AC going, noticed that I am getting a decent air flow from the two inter vents, but absolutely zero flow from the outside dash ventZ. I haven't taken much else apart to check.

Any thoughts to this? The controls will allow me to direct to the floor (heater), but can't get any flow to the outside (near doors) vents.

I am replacing the original DA6 compressor due to a blockage on the low side (which I hear is common with these compressors) with a HR6 which will be here Friday. The accumulator and orifice tube will be replaced too, along with all of rings with a R-134 conversion.

Re: 1988 R30 Vent Issue

Check if the venting tubing separated. My glove box was jammed, it turned out to be the flex tubing to the passenger outer vent was separated. I don't think any of the venting was screwed together just press fit.

Upon further inspection, there is no ducting going to either end vents.

So looks like I am going junkyard crawling. What years interchange?

Thanks!!
