Are these speakers any good?

Thinking about buying two pairs of these for my kick panels and in the area as in the picture below. Are they any good? Any other suggestions? What amp should I use with these?

JL AUDIO VR600-CXI 6 1/2"

Re: Are these speakers any good?

JL Audio is a good brand... Those look like decent midrange speakers... built in crossovers keep to much bass from coming out. Are you running any larger subs? Those won't give you much bass.... I would add those and some 8" subs or a 10" sub for a little bottom end....

Re: Are these speakers any good?

Two sets of VR's will sound really nice. They can handle lots of power too, so you don't have to be as picky with the amp. If you plan to stay with all JL, grab a 500/5 and a 12W3. The system will sound amazing...

JL Audio is a very good brand. My buddy has an entire JL Audio setup in his Hyundai Tiburon. Freakin loud as hell and pounds!!!! He is using JL Audio's 300/4 for his front and rear speakers and 500/1 for his two 12" subs.
