Pics of 31's stock ride height

Can I get a picture of a square running 31 tires on 8" rally wheels and stock height? Thanks.

Is 30.6 tall enough? 265/70r16 sorry not on rallies added second picture , snow helps the tire stand out better

Not on ralleys, but same size and BS as ralleys. This is what my 81 had when I picked it up.

Sorry, missed the 4WD part. Mine is 2WD.

Re: Pics of 31's stock ride height

Thanks guys. That helps a lot. I didn't really want to do a lift. I like stock ride. And, I've seen 33's with stock ride which looks to big to me. But, hey each to his own.
BTW, both are good lookin' rides.

I agree with you on the 33"/stock looking overstuffed.

For k10 and k20 trucks, 31"/stock, 33"/2-inch, 35"/4-inch, etc. A k30 sits higher already, so deduct an inch or two from the required lift.

I dont think I could go bigger even if I wanted . Truck is a light 20 sits lower than the standard.

I figured all the 4wd 20's had the same ride height, regardless of the spring stiffness. My truck in my signature does fit 33 tires on stock springs. The wide tires are the limiting factor, and do rub at full lock.

Re: Pics of 31's stock ride height

Been told it rides a little lower than the heavier 20s . Haven't had it next to any other 20s so I'm not sure . Guess it would make a difference with a wider tire than the 265

Re: Pics of 31's stock ride height

I just heard recently that ford made low rider 3/4 ton trucks in the mid 70's; for shorter people I suppose. Maybe Chevy did the same thing to keep those customers

Re: Pics of 31's stock ride height

My K5 in the sig.
I think I am going to go 33-10.5s front and 33-12.5s rear.
I think I will do a soft ride add a leaf in the back as well. I hate the rear sag look.

Re: Pics of 31's stock ride height

Adding this in case others search this up later.

A former military CUCV that later was a fire brush rig sitting on 31s. Basically an 84 K30 uprated to 5/4 ton.

Edit Add: The weight data has peeled off the factory sticker but the metal plate the military had put on lists the GVW at 8800lbs and max payload at 2900lbs.

Off subject; hope it's permissible...

I know the cucv has a deeper axle ratio than the civilian k30 trucks. Is there anything else that increases its weight rating? Or did the military just arbitrarily decide to rate it as a 1-1/4 ton truck?

84 K30 civy single cab single wheel was rated to carry 3900lbs.
5300 empty, 9200 GVW.

The Army underrates all their equipment for safety.
They also have an on road and off road GVW for most of their equipment

You didn't mention what size tires. They look bigger than 31's.
