So if you want good paint that will hold up and is cheep GO to GCI website , GCI makes all kinds of Industrial paint , They make the paint for the Military ,all the the military Resto guys use GCI they make lots of colors , flat semi and gloss even metallic , I have been using there Prime and paint for years . last time I bought a gallon of black it was about $25.00 here is a picture of a frame I did in Metallic blue about 4 years ago and its held up perfectly

I wire wheeled the frame, bed, engine and front clip off. Used a paint called agriguard from local farm store. Rolled it on and it flows out flat. Two years and no rust

probably the way i will do it. degrease, power wash, then wire wheel. ive waited 11 years i guess i can wait a little more and do it right
