Post Wheel Tubs

Has anybody widened their wheel tubs with another tub. Like take two tubs and welded them together to make one wide one. I am thinkin about doing this to my truck so i can fit a 12 inch wheel and tire. Any suggestions or pictures would be helpful. Thanks

I am running leaf springs,so have stretched to fit a 10" wheel/6 1/2" bs,+ a little extra.....just in case. I didnt have a spare set of tubs ,so I split mine & added 5".....I do think it would be easier to cut 2 sets of tubs though!
