69 c10 front end rebuild

what all parts are involved in a front end rebuild? Ball joints, a-arm bushings, pitman idler......and such. Id like a complete list so i could order the parts at my leisure. Thanx for any help.

Re: 69 c10 front end rebuild

Go to the suspension and steering section of your shop/repair manual. It will have exploded views of all the components and detailed how-to's for repair & replacement. Your parts list will come from that in a few short minutes.

Re: 69 c10 front end rebuild

Hey Matt aboard from NC....you are on the right track....

ball joints (upper and lower)
control arm shafts (upper and lower)
Tie rods (inner and outer)
adjusting sleeves
idler arm
pitman arm
rag joint (if yours is eaten up)
If you don't have one, I'd install a sway bar too

Check your local auto parts stores for pricing...I've also found that Amazon, Rockauto.com, etc sometimes have better prices for same parts including shipping....

I'd also recommend using high quality parts as well...good luck and have fun!

be sure to get an alignment done once you are done with the remove/ replace
