Push button start

Has anyone installed push button start on their C10 with LS3 swap ? If so what brand did you use and how do you like it?

I think quite a few have. Here is one thread.

If you type "push button start" into the google search box at the top of this page, click on the circle in front of 67-72chevytrucks.com, and click the Google button you will find quite a few threads on the subject.....

Re: Push button start

This is what I installed in my 63 Corvette, which also has a dashboard ignition switch. It uses RFID, so you just need to have the key in your pocket. I opted for the red Honda start button, which didn't cost $200 at the time.

I have a dummy pull start switch in mine. It's not smart and is hot all the time

With this system you have, is the button smart at all? By that I mean... If you just quickly push and release the button does it crank the flywheel until the engine busts over and is running or does it just crank as long as the button completes the circuit?

My DD has a smart button. Once the circuit is made, it doesn't matter what the driver does with the button, release or hold, the computer is going to either start the engine or give up the attempt when it figures out the engine isn't going to start.

I am looking for a replacement for my current setup ( pull switch ) whether it be a button like you guys are discussing or going back to a key switch.
